More About Our Hospice Care
What is Hospice?
Hospice care provides medical services, emotional support, and spiritual resources for people who are in the last stages of life with a serious illness that no longer responds to cure-oriented treatments, such as cancer or Alzheimer’s disease. The primary goal is to keep the patient comfortable and improve the quality of life. It also helps family members manage the practical details and unique emotional challenges of caring for a dying loved one.
Our Hospice Team
Our hospice professionals work as an interdisciplinary team with a coordinated care plan established by the patient and family. We manage the patient’s care during regularly scheduled visits, and our clinical staff and physician participate in regular team meetings and frequent communication to ensure the patient’s and family’s goals are being met.
Specialized Programs & Complementary Therapies
Not only is our team seasoned in conventional end-of-life healthcare, but many are also experienced, licensed, and/or certified in complementary care techniques such as: Massage/Bodywork, Aromatherapy, Energy Work, Vibration Therapy, and Guided Visualization/Imagery. These services help to create an atmosphere of warmth and peace around those who have a life-limiting illness.
